The NTA Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team conducted internal audit on the Top Management on the last day of this year’s IQA on July 5 via Microsoft Teams video teleconference.

Present during the audit were key auditees Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr, Deputy Administrator for Support Services Benedicto M. Savellano, acting Deputy Administrator for Operations Engr. Cesario G. Sambrana, and Quality Management Representative Fortuna C. Benosa.

The IQA appraised the Top Management on the context of the organization, business process, addressing risks and opportunities, quality policy and objectives, customer satisfaction, and management review and continual improvement.

The Legal Support Service, the Public Relations Office, the Internal Audit Service (IAS) and the Internal Quality Audit were also audited on the last day of IQA schedule. Key auditees Atty. Junfred V. Parado, Public Relations Officer V Neyo E. Valdez, Internal Auditor IV Charity P. Garcia, and IAS Manager Dinah E. Pichay joined the Top Management during the opening plenary meeting.

The annual IQA is conducted to determine compliance and conformity of management system based on internal policies, government laws, rules and regulations and the ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards. Last year, the agency passed the third party audit surveillance audit for the continuation of its ISO 9001:2015 QMS certification.

The IQA Audit Team was guided by the following objectives: (1) determine effectiveness of management system to ensure achievement of objectives; (2) identify areas for potential improvement; and (3) determine conformity of management system with audit criteria.

The team also conducted internal audit from June 21 to July 2 in the following audit areas: Regulation Department, Industrial Research Department (IRD), Corporate Planning Department, Finance Department, Administrative Department, Farm Technology and Services Department and the IRD Office in Batac City.Dinah E. Pichay is the IQA Team Leader, with Charity P. Garcia, Rosalie P. Catura, Rochelle C. De Peralta, Arnold B. Melosantos, Ophelia T. Gonzales, Randy I. Abella, Rolando C. de la Cruz, and Valentino L. Valdez, as members.
