The Roxas Tobacco Farmers Agricultural Cooperative received three units of rotary tillers with trailer from the local government of Roxas, Isabela, headed by Mayor Jonathan Jose C. Calderon
.NTA Isabela, headed by Branch Manager Dr. Corazon R. Riazonda and Chief Agriculturist Joefrey T. Bautisa, graced the turnover of facility assistance held during the 73rd Araw ng Roxas on July 4 at the town’s center.
According to the NTA Isabela, the amount used for the purchase of the tractors is part of the LGU’s share from the excise tax collection of the national government for locally manufactured tobacco pursuant to Republic Act (RA) 8240.
For crop year 2020-2021, Roxas town had 1,230 Burley and Native tobacco growers, planting an aggregate area of 982 hectares.
