Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr and his team paid a working visit to the plant site of JT International Asia Manufacturing Corporation in Malvar, Batangas on July 22.

Joining the Administrator were NTA Regulation Manager Atty. Rohbert A. Ambros, Atty. Jun Fred V. Parado and Alona A. Manganaan of the Office of the Administrator. The plant inspection, a regular function of the tobacco regulatory agency, was facilitated by JT International officials Robert Eugenio, Atty Fred Liong, and Atty. Jose Paolo Patajo.

According to Ambros, JT International commended the agency for its various programs and projects for the tobacco growers and for the implementation of online processes in its regulatory functions during the pandemic.

JT International, one of the major tobacco companies in the country, also confirmed their commitment to buy at least 5.6 M kilos of locally grown leaf tobacco for their raw materials for 2021 which is 20% higher than their 2020 local purchases.
