NTA Isabela held a special program for Dr. Corazon R. Riazonda on her last day as manager in charge of the Branch Office and the formal transfer of leadership to incoming officer-in-charge (OIC) Joefrey T. Bautista, in concurrent capacity as Branch Agriculturist, on February 28.
Riazonda headed the Isabela Branch Office, in concurrent capacity as Department Manager III of NTA Cagayan, after the retirement of Herman C. Torres in February 2020.
In her message, Riazonda encouraged the new OIC and the senior staff to lead their employees with integrity and act as a catalyst for transformative change in the Branch Office and the industry in general.
She thanked NTA Management, headed by Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr., Deputy Administrator Engr. Cesario G. Sambrana (Operations) and Benedicto M. Savellano (Support Services), for the opportunity to serve the branch office with the biggest tobacco producing area. In a previous ManCom meeting, Administrator Seares commended Riazonda for her competent leadership that brought improvements in the Branch Office.
“Manager Riazonda has inspired the staff with her work ethics and her various initiatives to increase production and maintain close partnership with the private sector,” said the Administrator.
Riazonda, who headed NTA Cagayan as OIC in 2007 and full-fledged manager since 2012, will remain as Branch Manager until her retirement in May this year.
