In a message to the virtual orientation seminar for newly hired employees of the National Tobacco Administration on October 26, Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr. exhorted the employees to show their worth as a government worker, stating that they are among the fortunate few to get employment in the government sector.“
Take pride in wearing your agency ID, as this shows that you are professional government workers in service of our farmers,” he said, as he urged them to help protect the integrity of the agency with their professionalism and hard work.
Administrator Seares also encouraged the 25 new employees to make good use of the information provided in the seminar and help improve the service provided by the agency to all industry stakeholders.
The new employees were given orientation on organizational knowledge, how to be a good public servant, employees association, employees statutory benefits, safe and healthy workplace, property accountability, leave administration, salary adjustment, strategic performance management, and filling up of IPCRs (Individual Performance Commitment Review).
In his inspirational message, Regulation Department Manager Atty. Rohbert A. Ambros, shared his success story as a government worker at the agency, highlighting his 4Ps principle—projection, perseverance, performance and patience—from which the new employees can learn to succeed in government.
Perla C. Manzon, chief of the Administrative Services Division, discussed administrative core functions and policies, grievance mechanism and work values.
The Administrative Department, which spearheaded the one-day orientation seminar as part of their manpower development program for the last quarter, also conducted one for the Job Order hirees on October 20.Also present to give their messages were the two deputy administrators Benedicto M. Savellano (Support Services) and Engr. Cesario G. Sambrana (Operations), and Milagros C. Tiu, officer in charge of the Administrative Department.
