Tobacco grower William M. Ezebb of Barbarangay in Banna, Ilocos Norte received his Brahman heifer from the National Tobacco Administration under its Beef Cattle Production Assistance Project (BCPAP) during the distribution held on May 18 in Batac City.Mr.
Ezebb is one of the 40 beneficiaries comprising the second batch of farmers in Ilocos Norte who personally received their cattle during the distribution conducted by the NTA Ilocos Norte Branch. The first batch has 30 beneficiaries, bringing the total of beneficiaries in the province to 70.
NTA Ilocos Norte Officer-in-Charge Luzviminda U. Padayao and senior staff from the Branch Office spearheaded the distribution of the second batch, with Patrick Cortez from the Provincial Veterinary Office.
BCPAP is part of the priority programs of NTA Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr. that give livelihood support to tobacco growers who are reeling from the economic impact of the pandemic.
