Mercy Corrales Doral, 38, of Bolbolo, Pilar, Abra, is the president of NTA Bolbolo Farmers’ Association. The association was one of the five tobacco farmers’ cooperatives and associations in Abra which received four-wheel tractors including rotavators and trailers from the agency through the NTA Abra Branch Office in Bangued early this month. Doral has been a tobacco grower since 2019 and most of the members of the association were contract growers of private companies before they became farmer-cooperators of the NTA Tobacco Contract Growing System and organized their association last year.
“Malaki ang maitutulong ng traktora, dahil tiyak na mababawasan ang gastusin sa pagsasaka at napapadali ang aming trabaho. May oras pa kami sa ibang gawaing mapagkakakitaan. Tiyak na tataas ang aming kita ang maiipon para sa aming pamilya.
