A team from NTA Candon, headed by acting chief of Branch Operations Adonis D. Lazo, visited the buying stations of ULPI in Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur on April 15 to monitor the weighing and grading of tobacco delivered by the farmers from various towns in the second district of Ilocos Sur.
The team also met with NTA tobacco inspectors to remind them of their tasks to ensure strict compliance of the 4Ps in leaf trading (proper weighing, proper grading, prompt payment and proper documentation) for the benefit of the farmers. The team also discussed with the trading staff, security officers and cluster leaders on health and safety protocol on the trading floor.
