NTA Candon Branch Office, in cooperation with Universal Leaf Philippines, Inc. (ULPI), led the distribution of relief goods to 200 tobacco farmers in Sta. Maria and Sta. Cruz towns, in Ilocos Sur, who are severely affected by flooding due to the onslaught of typhoon Maring early this month.
Acting Deputy Administrator Engr. Cesario G. Sambrana led the distribution of relief goods in the four barangays, Padaoil, Lantag, Saoat and Bugbuga in Sta. Cruz town on October 29. With him during the distribution were acting Supervising TPRO Amelia Veronica Lacaden and Area III staff, and ULPI Manager Wilfredo Mendoza.
Branch Chief Agriculturist Adonis D. Lazo, Area I Supervisor Helen Teodora D. Peña and staff, along with ULPI Manager Denise Maurine Barcelon , proceeded on the same day to the four barangays, Nagsayaoan, Laslasong West, Baliw Laud, Poblacion Sur and Cabaroan in Sta. Maria.
