NTA Cagayan Branch Office signed on July 8 a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Cagayan State University (CSU) College of Engineering and Architecture in fulfillment of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) students’ academic requirements for the on-the-job training (OJT).
Gilbert A. Taguiam, Branch Officer-in-Charge, signed the MOA for NTA Cagayan, while Jennyfer D. Rabanera, ABE Program Chair, signed on behalf of CSU.
The signing was held at the NTA Cagayan branch office, witnessed by Josefa P. Correo, Administrative Officer; Alicia A. Malab, Supervising TPRO; Moises D. Duran, Senior TPRO; and ABE students from Cagayan State University.
The partnership offers an internship program for ABE students in the engineering industry by providing practical approaches to implementing the NTA projects such as corn production, solar-powered irrigation system project, and tobacco farm mechanization project, among others.
The training will also provide the students with opportunities to apply the principles and ideas learned in school and help them explore career possibilities in the field of agriculture.
