COVID-19 vaccine boosters were administered to 94 NTA employees and their eligible dependents at the NTA Central Office in Quezon City on August 17.
NTA Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr said that getting the booster vaccination is not mandatory; however, it is highly recommended to give protection against serious infection from the COVID-19 virus.
“Booster shots will strengthen your immune system and protect you as frontline personnel and your family too when you get home. We are serving our clients, so we have to give them assurance that we are fully vaccinated in dealing with them without apprehensions of acquiring the virus,” he added.
The on-site vaccination is in coordination with the Quezon City LGU – Health Office headed by Dr. Frances Rachelle Ordoñez (Medical Officer III), Wilma Caintoy (Public Nurse), and Angelica Rellora (Midwife), Marita Callabun (Midwife), and Teresita Cacdac (Midwife).
Employees were given AstraZeneca vaccine for the initial booster shot and Pfizer for the second.
