The NTA Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) approved on May 19 the revised guidelines on the virtual interview of applicants for appointment and promotion to various vacant positions in the Central Office and Branch Offices.
The meeting was hosted by the NTA Administrative Department headed by Perla C. Manzon, who presided the online meeting as HRMPSB chair.In the meeting, Deputy Administrator for Support Services Benedicto M. Savellano, who exercises oversight over the HRMPSB, directed the members to finalize schedule of the first batch of applicants for interview starting next week.
NTA Administrator Robert Victor G. Seares during a recent ManCom meeting has instructed the Administrative Department to accelerate the filling-up of vacant plantilla positions to enhance manpower capability of the agency for its projects under the Sustainable Tobacco Enhancement Program.
The agency approved last year the hiring and promotion procedures under the new normal condition using virtual platform.
The first virtual interview for the initial batch of applicants was held in January this year.
Other members of the HRMPSB are Dinah E. Pichay, Manager of Internal Audit Service, vice-chairperson, as representative of the appointing authority; Ophelia T. Gonzales, HRMO IV, who is directly responsible for recruitment, selection and placement; Neyo E. Valdez, PRO V, who represents the NTA Employees Association, for second level positions; and Carmelita V. Albano, Senior Bookkeeper, who will represent first level positions.
On Monday, the HRMPSB Secretariat hosted a technical dry run for the upcoming interview of applicant, to assess technical capability of applicants from the branch offices and remote location of WFH (work-from-home) areas. Secretariat members Michell N. Paras, HRMO II, Jayson I. Gannaban, AV Technician II, and Kassandra M. Leofando, Secretary of DASS Office discussed the purpose of the dry run, virtual meeting etiquette, technical troubleshooting, and other appointment/promotion concerns.
