The NTA Branch Offices have completed the inventory of tree seedlings for the Synchronized Tree Planting (STP) activities on July 30.
The Branch Offices visited in the past two weeks various nursery sites in their respective areas for the inventory and coordination with the extension workers and seedlings growers.
According to Deputy Administrator for Operations Engr. Cesario G. Sambrana, the agency is targeting to plant at least 1 million seedlings this year in various planting sites in major tobacco-growing provinces in the country.
Engr. Sambrana and the Branch Managers will lead planting volunteers from different national agencies and local government units, including volunteers from different educational institutions, and government and private groups during the whole-day activity. STP, an annual inter-agency and multi-sectoral effort for the restoration of ecological integrity in tobacco areas, is one of the highlights of the 34th founding anniversary celebration of the agency.
