A Branch Manager, three Division Chiefs and a Chief Agriculturist were sworn to their new positions after the confirmation of their promotions by the Civil Service Commission in separate issuances last week. The oath of four of the five promoted staff was administered by NTA Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr. after the Monday flag ceremony at the Central Office in Quezon City on June 13.
They were Joefrey T. Bautista, from Chief Agriculturist to Department Manager III, Isabela Branch Office; Neyo E. Valdez, from Public Relations Officer V of the Office of the Administration to Division Chief III, Corporate Planning Department; Randy I. Abella, from Senior Science Research Specialist II to Chief Science Research Specialist, Farm Technology and Services Department; and Noralyn I. Idica, from Administrative Officer V to Chief Agriculturist, Vigan Branch Office.
Before his promotion, Bautista was designated officer in charge (OIC) of the Branch Office after the retirement of Dr. Corazon R. Riazonda, who served as Manager in her concurrent position as Manager of NTA Cagayan.
Abella and Idica were also designated as OICs of Abra Branch and Vigan Branch, respectively, concurrent to their previous positions.
Before his transfer, Valdez has been the head of the Public Relations Unit of the OAD since 2018 and the current president of the NTA Employees Association.
Dina B. Dela Reyna, who was promoted from Chemist III to Chief Science Research Specialist, Industrial Research Department, were not able to attend the induction.
