The NTA Farm Technology and Services Department (FTSD), in coordination with NTA Isabela, conducted a training on Beema Bamboo Production Technology, held at the NTA Isabela Training Building on January 16.
This is to capacitate the coordinators of the project to have knowledge on the uses and cultural management practices of Beema Bamboo to be extended to the farmer beneficiaries of the project.
Participated were the Branch Project Coordinators of Beema Bamboo Production Project, a component of the Renewable Fuelwood Energy Farm Development Project of the agency.
Resource Speaker Bersan L. Lucero, the Bidding Representative of Joan Venturina Nursery, discussed the uses, cultural management, and impact of Beema bamboo on the environment.
Other resource speakers were Engr. Warlie Oribello, Supervising TPRO of NTA La Union, on the Package of Technology of Kawayan Tinik; and Evangeline C. Cabigan, FTSD Officer-in-Charge, on the Implementing Guidelines of Beema Bamboo Production Project.
Also present were Dr. Giovanni B. Palabay, OIC of the Office of the Deputy Administrator for Support Services, and NTA Isabela Branch Manager Joefry T. Bautista.
