NTA La Union released production assistance to all 17 farmer-cooperators of its Synchronized Tree Planting project on May 19.
The release was held immediately after the project briefing and orientation conducted by Branch Manager Dr. Giovanni B. Palabay and senior staff of the NTA La Union, held at the NTA Branch Office in Bauang, La Union.
NTA La Union is set to produce 136,200 of various forest tree species ready for the tree-planting activity in July, as part of the celebration of the Founding Anniversary of NTA.
The STP is an annual inter-agency and multi-sectoral tree planting activity conducted by the Branch Offices as part of the agency’s effort to contribute for the restoration of ecological integrity in tobacco areas.
The branch office distributed 126,200 tree seedlings for the STP last year.
