Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar, Chairman of the NTA Governing Board, presided over his first meeting with the Board, its 100th Special Meeting, held at the Conference Room, at the Office of Candon City Mayor Ericson Singson in Candon City on August 29.

In the said meeting, with Vice Chairman and NTA Administrator Robert L. Seares and all the directors in attendance, the Board approved the Implementing Guidelines for the Improved Seedling Production Project for crop year 2019-2020; the awarding of contracts for the construction of NTA Training Buildings in Tuguegarao City and Ilagan City to the winning contractor; and the setting up of seedling nurseries in Batac Ilocos Norte and Villaviciosa, Abra.

The meeting was held after a forum with the officers and members of the National Federation of Tobacco Farmers Association and Cooperatives (NAFTAC) held at the NTA Candon Branch Office.
